NDA examination is conducted to select the intake for National Defence Academy. Selected students graduate from National Defence Academy and then are sent to serve in Defence Forces as officers. The NDA exam is conducted in two parts, part 1 (written) is conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commision) and part 2 (Interview) is conducted by SSB (Service Selection Board). NDA entrance examination is held twice a year. Of around 4,50,000 applicants for every written exam, about 6,500 of aspirants qualify for SSB. About 415 cadets are enrolled in the academy in each semester (830 in a year) - out of these, 208 are selected for the Army, 120 for Air Force, 42 for Navy and 45 for Naval Academy.
The test shortlists students for attractive scholarship particularly the students of economically weaker sections of society.
RNTSE model paper is based on JEE and NEET pattern so that students are acquainted with computer based tests(CBTs).It overcomes limits of space,time and is cost effective.

Duration is 3hrs for test.
A single student can enroll with unique mobile number for only one time.
In case of power faliure or internet disconnection a student can login two more times and continue test where it was left before the interruption.The paper will continue for the question before shutoff mode.
Once test is submitted, the examinee or candidate can not log in again.
Only one question can be seen at a time on the screen.
